Kim Younkin has been playing in the Dallas metroplex area for 30+ years. He is a solo act playing lead guitar and vocals with his own background, where he plays all instruments and mixes the tracks to play back live.
Although he is a solo act, he has the volume and energy of a full band, enabling him to play at larger venues.
Kim plays a variety of music from classic rock, rhythm and blues, and country. He is able to entertain all venues and all ages.
Ronnie Milsap, Tanya Tucker and Dr. Hook have utilized Kim's talents as an opening act while on tour. Kim's original song "Cadillac" was featured to a nationwide audience on MTV's Basement Tape Competition.
Kim is a singer/songwriter releasing "Echo in a Canyon" as a sampling of his music and lyrics.
Designed as a promotional tool, it showcases his versatile talents as he plays all instruments and sings all vocal parts on all songs.
